Is leverage included?
This calc computes raw P&L. Leverage affects margin requirement, not the profit itself. A 100-pip move earns the same $ regardless of leverage.
Where does pip value come from?
From the Forex Pip Calculator. Depends on lot size, pair, and account currency. For standard lot on USD-quoted pairs, pip value = $10.
What about swap / commission?
Not included here. Multi-day positions accrue swap charges; some brokers charge commission per lot. Subtract those from gross P&L.
Short vs long math?
Long = buy low, sell high. Short = sell high, buy low. Both can profit — direction is just which way you bet the price will move.
