Why does the calculator reject very low EMI?
If your EMI is less than the monthly interest on the full principal, every payment only partly covers interest — the loan balance never drops and the loan never ends.
Should I pick the shortest tenure I can afford?
Not always. Keep a 15–20% EMI buffer for emergencies. A slightly longer tenure you can always sustain beats a short tenure that forces you into overdraft during tough months.
Is the tenure affected by processing fees?
This calculator assumes a clean principal. If fees are added to the loan amount, increase the principal accordingly.
Can I choose tenure in years directly?
